Unfortunately, it’s impossible to change the type of a custom field. If your information is not in the correct field, you will need to create a new field and then transfer the data to it.

- Export the contacts that hold information that must be transferred to a new field. Learn how >
- Prepare your import file from the exported file. Keep only the Email column and the column with the information to be transferred.
- Import your file and link the column with information to transfer to the new field created. Make sure to answer Yes to the question about updating existing contacts. Learn how >
- Delete the custom field that is now useless. Learn how >
